The College of Arts and Sciences has made name changes to two departments as well as a major and a minor to highlight new course offerings. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s College of Arts and Sciences has changed the name of its Art department to Art + Design and the department, major and minor of Women’s and Gender Studies to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies beginning in the Fall 2020 semester.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has established a second social justice award program. A STEM scholarship webinar and transfer student webinar will take place this week and alumni are doing great work in Chicago’s communities.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has launched the Social Justice Leadership Housing Award, President Gloria J. Gibson announced on June 24. The award is a new leadership program for students who positively impact their university, career and communities. Students participating in the program will be given one year's free housing in The Nest, Northeastern’s on-campus apartments, while taking a first-year seminar during their first semester and while participating in a series of leadership workshops during their second semester.
