Schedule a Campus Tour
Dive into student life by joining us for a campus tour. Hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, our two-hour sessions introduce you to our facilities and your future classmates and show you what it means to be a Golden Eagle.

Attend a Preview Day
Make your college decision with confidence. As you stroll through Main Campus, step into a classroom and envision what your life at NEIU can look like. We offer a limited number of Preview Days each semester.

Attend an Undergraduate Open House
Speak with representatives from most of our 120 majors and minors and our vibrant student clubs to explore degree offerings and on-campus involvement opportunities. Our open house events also give you added flexibility, so you can arrive or leave when needed.

Schedule a High School Group Visit
Introduce your high school or community college group to our Main Campus! Our expert staff will give you and up to 25 visitors our full attention during a three-hour campus visit, which includes a walking tour, admission and aid presentation, and lunch.

Meet with an Admission Counselor
Schedule an in-person or virtual appointment and receive the personalized support you need to explore all resources and ensure a smooth transition to NEIU.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï offers opportunities to study at three Chicago locations — Main Campus (North Park neighborhood), the Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (Bronzeville neighborhood), El Centro (Avondale neighborhood) — as well as the University Center of Lake County, located in Grayslake, Illinois. The University empowers nearly 6,000 students to embrace their potential through top-quality education and robust support services.
NEIU’s Main Campus, located at 5500 North St. Louis Avenue in Chicago, offers an array of amenities designed to enrich your student experience. From on-campus housing to cutting-edge classrooms, we cultivate a welcoming space where you can thrive.

Since the 1960s, NEIU's El Centro has provided equitable educational opportunities and comprehensive services to Chicago’s Latinx community. From academic courses to recruitment programs and community outreach, El Centro champions an inclusive learning environment where dreams are realized and growth is made possible.

The Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS) embodies NEIU’s commitment to academic excellence and embraces the richness of African and African American cultures. Undergraduate and graduate programs offered at CCICS center the African and African American experience to inform research methodologies, advocate for systemic change within communities and help students flourish.

The University Center of Lake County (UCLC) houses public and private universities with a variety of academic programs, offering flexibility for residents, workers and employers of the Lake County region. Northeastern currently offers three undergraduate programs at UCLC as well as two graduate programs, a certificate program and teaching endorsements.

Parking at NEIU
When visiting NEIU’s Main Campus, purchase a parking permit at the Police Station for $5 per day to ensure a seamless visit. If you are visiting El Centro or CCICS, parking permits can be purchased for $5 at the location’s Welcome Desk.
