Graduate Application Checklist
Core Requirements
- Admission application
- Official transcripts from all universities attended outside of the U.S. must be evaluated either by an external evaluation company that is a current member of the professional association, , or by NEIU’s Office of International Programs (OIP). NEIU will do an evaluation for free if the applicant first shows they have the financial resources to cover all costs of studying at NEIU for one year. To learn more, email OIP at international-programs@neiu.edu.
- Statement of goals and objectives
- Two letters of recommendation with signed Letter of Recommendation Form (These letters should be from professors who know the quality of the applicant’s academic work. In some cases, one letter can be from a current or recent employer).
- Any additional program-specific required documents (e.g. The MBA and MSA programs require a GMAT or GRE exam or a waiver.)
- Application fee: It is only $30 to apply to most master’s programs. It is $89 to apply for the MBA or MSA program.
Additional Requirements for International Applicants
- Signed Graduate Financial Statement Form (one for each sponsor).
- Official, signed, bank letter(s) from each sponsor’s financial institution
- ; or a showing Level 4 passed with 80% or higher grades in all core classes; or English Language Proficiency Waiver if applicable.
- Copy of passport photo page
- Copy of Form I-94 and Form I-20 (if applying from within the U.S.)
