In 1965, Marge Csakai and Jim Blair took a Creative Writing class at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï. The teacher was none other than Pulitzer Prize winner Gwendolyn Brooks, who three years later also was appointed poet laureate of Illinois, but that exciting fact is a mere footnote in their family story.

Fourth Annual Asian American Heritage Awards Gala

The Fourth Annual Asian American Heritage Awards Gala Program will be held Friday, April 11 from 5-9 p.m. in Alumni Hall. Awards categories give recognition to alumni, students, faculty and staff. The program is an opportunity for the Northeastern Asian American community to celebrate the accomplishments of Northeastern graduates.
