A new $17.4 million grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) will help three Chicago universities work together with many of the city’s underserved communities to foster meaningful cancer research, education, training and outreach.

Due to recent increases in COVID-19 cases, the spread of the omicron variant, and new guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Northeastern is implementing new COVID-19 health and safety measures.

����Թ� Assistant Professor of Educational Inquiry and Curriculum Studies Sunni Ali published his third book, “Lessons Learned: Critical Conversation in Hip Hop and Social Justice.”

“An Evening with Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor,” will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 in the Auditorium on the Main Campus, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. 

The U.S. Department of Education has awarded ����Թ� a five-year, $1.3 million Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program grant. Northeastern is the recipient of one of 189 new grant awards to institutions of higher education. In total, $51.7 million in McNair grants were awarded across the country.

For the seventh consecutive year, ����Թ� has received a Tree Campus USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation.
