ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï awarded $275,000 grant from USDA-NIFA
The U.S. Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA-NIFA) has awarded ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï a $275,000 grant to support its agriculture science engagement at Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI). Northeastern is one of 26 institutions in the United States—and the only institution in Illinois—to receive this grant. It is Northeastern’s fourth USDA-NIFA grant and its fifth USDA grant overall.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï honors Ana Castillo with Distinguished Alumnus Award
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï honored celebrated poet, essayist, activist, novelist and scholar Ana Castillo with the Distinguished Alumnus Award during the annual Golden Gala and Alumni Awards. This year’s ceremony, emceed by 2011 Distinguished Alumnus Award winner and retired WGN anchor Robert Jordan, took place Oct. 17.
