ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s College of Business and Management has added a Human Resources (HR) concentration to its Bachelor of Science in Management and created a minor in Data Analytics. Both will launch with the Fall 2020 semester.

COVID-19’s unprecedented global impact is historic. As such, the Ronald Williams Library wants to capture how this pandemic has affected University’s students by taking submissions for a new digital archive.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has launched the Social Justice Leadership Housing Award, President Gloria J. Gibson announced on June 24. The award is a new leadership program for students who positively impact their university, career and communities. Students participating in the program will be given one year's free housing in The Nest, Northeastern’s on-campus apartments, while taking a first-year seminar during their first semester and while participating in a series of leadership workshops during their second semester.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has established a second social justice award program. A STEM scholarship webinar and transfer student webinar will take place this week and alumni are doing great work in Chicago’s communities.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï will remove the requirement for a standardized test score from its Fall 2020 application for enrollment. Effective immediately, Northeastern’s Fall 2020 admissions decisions will be made strictly using grade-point average and curriculum.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï is hosting three Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois (DFI) fellows during the 2020-21 academic year. This State of Illinois program is designed to increase the number of minority, full-time, tenure-track faculty and staff who work in the state’s public and private colleges and universities. 

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has earned a five-year U.S. Rehabilitation Services Administration Long-Term Training Grant totaling $975,175 that will support students in the Department of Counselor Education’s Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program. This is the fourth time Northeastern has received this grant.

The Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (ChicagoCHEC) has announced the details of its 5th Annual Community Forum. This year’s theme is Addressing Cancer Together During COVID-19: The ChicagoCHEC Partnership.
