Northeastern to offer tuition and fee waivers for Afghan refugees for the 2021-2022 academic year

ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ will offer qualified Afghan refugees who settle in Chicago or nearby areas the opportunity to attend Northeastern through University-sponsored discretionary waivers that will cover the cost of tuition and fees for 12 credit hours in the current academic year. The initiative will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 15 continuing and prospective students.

After a thorough national search, ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ has named Dr. Terry Mena as its new Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students. He will start on Feb. 22.

ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ partners with Heartland Health Centers for COVID-19 vaccination site

ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ is allowing Heartland Health Centers to utilize part of its Physical Education Complex to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for its current 27,000 patients, many of whom live on the North and Northwest sides of Chicago.

Ensemble EspaΓ±ol embraces β€˜New Era, New Works, New Legacies’ in 45th season

Ensemble EspaΓ±ol Spanish Dance Theatre, in residence at ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ, marks its 45th season from August 2020 through July 2021. The season, titled β€œZafiro Flamenco (Sapphire Flamenco): New Era, New Works, New Legacies,” will feature new partnerships, new works, virtual programs plus a new $300,000 anonymous matching grant opportunity with a total potential earnings of $1 million.
