ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s College of Arts and Sciences has changed the name of its Art department to Art + Design and the department, major and minor of Women’s and Gender Studies to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies beginning in the Fall 2020 semester.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has awarded emeritus status to three retiring faculty members. They will be honored during on Dec. 11.

If you ask Wanda Nguyen about her career plans, she does not hesitate with her answer: She will graduate from ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï, attend dental school and eventually become an orthodontist, she says. And then she smiles.

For nearly five years, Aaron Cortes served as a part-time tutor in ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s Center for College Access and Success while completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Quickly establishing himself as a tireless worker, Cortes was promoted to coordinator of TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science.
