Beginning Fall 2021, Rashid will work alongside colleagues in the Goodwin College of Education, as well as others across the campus, to design and implement Northeastern's new Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Urban Education Program.

Gibson issued a statement on Aug. 9 announcing that all Northeastern employees and students who will be on campus in the fall are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2021-2022 academic year or undergo weekly testing.
